Weekly topics, readings, self-checks, and graded take-homes for Fall 2026.
Two sessions per teaching week (Mon + Wed, 2:20–3:35 PM). Click a week to open its lesson page: readings, self-checks, the group practice, and that week’s graded take-home. No class Mon Sep 7 (Labor Day) or the week of Thanksgiving (Nov 23–27). Our last meeting is Wed Dec 9, the second of the course-synthesis presentations; the 14-point submission is due Sun Dec 13. There is no final exam and no finals-week meeting.
Six in-class checkpoints run in the Wednesday session of Weeks 4, 6, 9, 11, 13 and 15: Sep 16, Sep 30, Oct 21, Nov 4, Nov 18 and Dec 2. Each is 15 minutes and draws at random from the self-checks and take-homes of every week finished before it. They are marked in the table below.
Attendance and late work follow the 3-3-3 rule. The schedule is subject to limited change in the event of extenuating circumstances; any change is announced in class and on Canvas.
